Fans of BJ’s Restaurant & Bar in Mingus, Texas are about to get real excited. The famed restaurant, which specializes in pizza, subs and wings, is opening in the former Ruby’s Texas Bistro in Stephenville.
Owner Marissa Marmolejos said that if all goes as planned the restaurant will open Nov.
“We love Mingus, but we want to do more and expand,” Marissa told Beneath the Surface News. “Our goal would be to have five BJ’s restaurants, and with Tarleton growing like it is, it makes sense to come to Stephenville.”
BJ’s first opened in 1988 and was purchased by Marissa and her husband Clint in 2018.
Marissa said the menu will remain the same with a focus on that delicious pizza BJ’s is known for.
“We make our own dough and sauce daily and chop all of the fresh vegetables,” she said. “Our pizzas are made-to-order and are very different. They have a thin crust that is cut into squares and the toppings go all the way to the edge.”
Marissa said their most popular pizza is the BJ’s Signature Deluxe, which includes pepperoni, hamburger, sausage, mushrooms, onion, black olives, green olives, bell pepper, mild pepper and jalapeno.
They will also serve beer, wine and select cocktails.
“BJ’s is known for its fun energy and great atmosphere and that’s what we plan to bring to Stephenville,” Marissa said.
So there you go, another fun place to dine is coming to Stephenville!
